At 5:26 this morning, the Royal family got a little bit bigger. Meghan and Harry welcomed a darling boy into the world weighing in at 7lbs 3oz.
“I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy this morning, a very healthy baby boy,” Prince Harry was quoted as saying. He went on to elaborate that “It’s been the most amazing experience I can ever possibly imagine…This little thing is absolutely to die for.” Also noting, “How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension, but we’re both absolutely thrilled.”
While there was no shortage of chatter over the last several months of Meghan’s pregnancy concerning how she would give birth, details were never officially released. Much talk of a hospital birth being a must silenced fans who long for the Duchess to join the home birthing community.
Chesire Live broke the news this morning that,
“In a break from royal tradition, the couple will not pose for photos outside hospital – because Meghan gave birth at their home at Frogmore Cottage.”
Meghan’s own mother, Doria Ragland, was present at the Cottage this morning with the Royal couple. This would explain why the press didn’t catch a glimpse of the Duchess on her way to the hospital. While we are still waiting for official confirmation, all signs are pointing to home birth at this time.
It looks like this couple has plenty to celebrate this Spring with a new bundle of joy in tow as they celebrate their first wedding anniversary later this month on the 19th. Baby names are still being mulled over. Any guesses?
